FAQ
Is looking really free?
Yes. Your server's numbers (players today and this month, who comes back, your peak hours, your server health) are free forever: hosted, no setup beyond the plugin. About fifteen copilot questions a month are included. You pay to act (nudges) and to prove it worked, never to look at your numbers.
Pay-to-win? Never?
Never, and it's not just a promise, it's checked every single time. Every nudge reward is checked against the Minecraft EULA's no-pay-to-win rule at the moment it's proposed; a reward that would create a gameplay advantage is blocked before it ever reaches your preview screen, with an explanation and a compliant alternative.
What's the point of "set aside" players?
It's what lets you know if YOUR nudge actually brought players back, instead of guessing. When you nudge a group, Minealyze sets a few aside (chosen at random, 10 to 50%) without sending them the message. Two to four weeks later, it compares: if the nudged group comes back more than the set-aside group, that's proof. Otherwise, you'll see "not enough data" instead of a fake number. Set-aside players are neither punished nor forgotten: they're eligible again from the very next nudge.
Do I need Tebex?
No, not to get started. Without Tebex, Who's slipping away still works, based on login habits alone. Connecting Tebex additionally shows which of the players slipping away already support the store: a useful sorting detail, never a requirement.
Will the plugin slow down my server?
No. It reads events and sends them through a separate queue: it never writes to your world, never blocks the game thread, and works just as well on Folia. If Minealyze is unreachable, the plugin holds the data and retries; your server is never affected.
What happens if the AI goes down?
Your numbers (Who's slipping away, the top reason, the verdicts) keep working normally: they don't depend on the AI, they're computed by deterministic rules. Only the writing (the recap text, message drafts) queues up and retries; you'll see a message saying so, never a fabricated explanation filling the gap.
Does Minealyze send players private messages on Discord?
Not automatically, and not through a simple webhook: a webhook can only post to a channel, never send a private message. Messaging a specific player privately requires an optional account link, a separate capability from the default channel alerts described in this doc.
Does anything go out without my approval?
No. Every nudge follows Preview → Confirm → Log: you see the exact group, the message, the reward, and who's set aside before anything happens, and nothing goes out until you click Confirm. Auto-nudges start out unarmed.
What if there aren't enough players for a reliable verdict?
Minealyze degrades gracefully rather than inventing a number: with few players or a short history, you get a verdict based on simple rules (time since last login, gap from the usual rhythm) and an honest note rather than a fabricated score.
What data reaches the AI?
Only measured signals and coded usernames: a handful of top reasons per player, never raw chat, never a real username, never a world file. Content players write (chat, signs, books) is excluded by default and never triggers an action.
Is Minealyze affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft?
No. Minealyze is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
Which languages are available?
The app and this documentation are available in English and French. Switch languages from the toggle in the header; your preference is remembered.
